Chosen game: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

This game is basically an enormous sandwich of interaction arcs and loops. The arcs are cut scenes that tell pieces of the whole story that build up one at a time, and in between the cut scenes exists the main gameplay of navigating skill-oriented mazes, or in other words dungeons. The dungeons early on in the game are easy and have in-game guides that help form your initial mental model of how you navigate a dungeon and fight against the other Pokemon, but the difficulty increases with each “loop” where you have to figure out on your own, based on your previously built up mental model, how best to continue navigating the harder dungeons with more complicated mechanics.
