Sketchnote: Loops and Arcs

Loops and Arcs in Assassin’s Creed

One of my favorite games, Assassin’s Creed, has a hierarchical structure of loops that make up the core gameplay. Some of the basic loops are movement, jumping/climbing around buildings, fighting, riding on horses, using weapons, and jumping from buildings. These loops enable the player to progress through the arcs in the game, which are the missions. Without any of the core loops, players cannot complete missions.
