Use of Story in Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed uses spatiality, evocative spaces, and embedded narratives to communicate its story. The overarching story of a mystical plot about assassins and pieces of Eden is communicated gradually, for example in the contrast between the modern world and the historical world. The mechanics of climbing onto buildings evokes the dexterity of assassins, without directly telling stories about it. The expansive spaces also evoke the adventure and freedom of assassins.
