My favorite game of all time is Pokemon Emerald. I believe it’s the best Pokemon game in the entire series and the best Pokemon generation ever. It’s also very nostalgic for me as it’s the only Pokemon game I played growing up. The entire game was very fun was amazing starters like Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip (mudkip ftw btw). The soundtrack is also absolutely amazing! The horns and drums during the opening sequence is exciting, majestic, and everything! From the quaintness of the Littleroot theme to the happy-go-lucky tune of the seafaring Slateport city to the heart-pounding drama of the Victory Road theme, the music in this game is so so so good. Lastly, who could forget God-like Rayquaza descending from the sky to put a stop to Groundon and Kroger’s fighting (the music here gives me goosebumps every time too)!
A game I’ve enjoyed recently is Teamfight Tactics or TFT. It’s a strategy, autobrawler game where you strategize a team of units to defeat the opposing teams in a game of eight! You can equip items, smartly position your units, and build synergies across your team to make them the best that they can be. A new set of units just dropped and it’s really refreshing so far! It’s also very visually stunning as beautiful animations and color palettes and textures have been added as well. I think the most fun part of the game is its flexibility. There do exist “meta” teams that is the best or most optimized, but I enjoy the absurdity in some of the teams that I build, putting together a rag-tag team of units and items to either get absolutely blasted by others or do some blasting of my own. It’s really fun!
