I playtested the first version of my story, but I shifted the direction of my story a bit to be less supernatural and a little more real. As in the original story, there is still a series of natural disasters worldwide and the protagonist is till being affected by the aftermath of a hurricane. However, now instead of saving their parents from a secret supernatural entity, they are collecting information with an anonymous whistleblower about the environmentally detrimental practices of a nearby business and must decide how to react. They also work at a late night radio station and broadcast calls, music, and more. Because of that, my questions are:
- Does the new direction for the story better address the causes of climate change?
- If the new version of the idea better addresses the causes of climate change, is it still fun to play?
- What is the best way to work in dialogue choices naturally instead of having them sit at the bottom?
- Did you look for any mechanics that were missing?
- I would like to have any choices that happen during the broadcast to be timed, does that make sense? What is the best way to let the user know? Should there be the option to turn it off?
