My name is Oluseyi Ogundipe, but I usually go by Seyi. My preferred pronouns are he\him.
A game I’ve recently enjoyed is the tabletop game Root. I have not played too many tabletop board games in my life; but I’ve found Root to be a fun social experience with some of my university friends. I think the asymmetrical game design in that there are different factions to play that each have different ways of winning and losing is very interesting and the balance in it and games like it between cooperating with your fellow players while also trying to win it all for yourself (though one faction has a way to win alongside another player) is very interesting for the social dynamics and situations it leads to.
My favorite game of all time is the video game Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. It is an old game with some dated elements and themes, but I enjoy the strategical gameplay of it and how it intertwines story and narrative with gameplay mechanics. It is also an ambitious game that attempts to portray and showcase an epic fantasy saga, which I enjoy as fan of fantasy novels, worlds, and settings. I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, but it was an awesome experience for me.
