Sketchnote: Game Architecture

One of my childhood favorite games was Diner Dash. The interaction loop mostly centers around cooking dishes for customers and maintaining the restaurant during working hours. After each working day, the player earns money based on the performance of their work which they can use to save up to buy an even larger restaurant in which they repeat the same interaction loop (with more complications). The arc of the game follows this story, as the player keeps aspiring towards their mission to build a restaurant empire through their actions and interactions in each round of the game (being the working day).
