  1. Undercover roommate:
    1. Story: Your roommate who is a straight A student and never misses class, does not show up for the final exam of a class that you were both taking. Your roommate is not responding to your phone calls or texts. You return to your dorm but your roommate is still not there. The mission is to figure out what happened to your roommate. The answer is your roommate was a spy from a faraway country and had been deported secretly after the FBI found out.
    2. Setting: Dorm room.
    3. Escape room puzzles: Secret codes in letters, locked safes, locked laptop, calendar with curious markings, etc.
  2. Murdered roommate:
    1. Story: Your roommate is found dead in your dorm room. The police declares it as food poisoning but you think something is off. The mission is to find out what happened to your roommate. The answer is your roommate was having an affair with the resident assistant, who was in a relationship with your roommate’s best friend. Your roommate’s best friend found out and secretly poisoned your roommate.
    2. Setting: Dorm room.
    3. Escape room puzzles: Locked laptop, clues through social media posts, a diary book, phone call history, etc.
  3. TA bribery:
    1. Story: You are a TA for a course and you found that a few students who never paid attention to class and did terribly in their homework got near full marks in their final exam. You get an anonymous tipoff that these students had bribed another TA and cheated in some way. The mission is to find out who the TA involved was and how the students cheated. The answer is the bribed TA had included special encoding in the all-multiple-choice final exam so that the cheating students knew what to choose.
    2. Setting: TA office.
    3. Escape room puzzles: Secret codes in exam papers, clues in past assignment feedback, locked file cabinet, locked laptop, TA work schedule calendar, etc.
