Favorite game of all time: Animal Jam (original) because I spent a lot of time playing with both IRL and online friends; it made it easy to connect with friends virtually. There was a multitude of small activities including dress up games, arcade games, trading (to achieve higher ‘monetary’ values), home decor, and plot-driven adventures. There was just so many options of things to do, as well as easter eggs and lore that made you invested in the world. Honorable mention: Stardew Valley!
I recently played Trash Pandas (in class) and I really enjoyed the inter-player connection because the gambling aspect helped break the ice between my tablemates because it offered a ‘teasing’ aspect that made the game more interactive by forcing a player to keep rolling and ‘risk it all’.
